Kindergarten

Welcome Class of 2037

We invite you and your child to join us for Kindergarten Orientation. This is a fun opportunity for your child to get a sneak peek of kindergarten and meet our amazing kindergarten teachers. It’s also a time for you to learn more about our program and what you can expect in the year ahead. While your child visits a classroom and takes part in various activities, parents will learn more about the school from staff members.

We are offering two opportunities for you to attend Kindergarten Orientation:

Thursday, April 25 from 5-6 p.m.
Friday, April 26 from 9:30-10:30 a.m.

The same information will be presented at each meeting, so if the other date/time works better for your schedule, please come to the session that works best for your family.

To help with planning, please RSVP by calling the school office at 651-351-6600.

If you haven’t already submitted the following documents, please remember to bring copies with you to Orientation Day or email them to weisbrodp@stillwaterschools.org:

  • Copy of birth certificate

  • Early childhood screening summary form

  • Student immunization record

  • School Health Examination Form (if already completed for five-year-old examination)

We’ll be holding other transition activities to help welcome your family to our school community leading up to our first day of school in the fall. Watch for additional information to be arriving at your home in the coming months.

We are so excited to welcome you to our school!

A place where children love to learn

Kindergarten is an important year. What kids learn in kindergarten helps to build the foundation for lifelong learning. We teach kids how to read and write, how to get along with others, and how to solve problems. But more importantly, we teach kids how to love learning!

Your child will make new friends and have lots of time to play and explore the world around them. We welcome each child at their current level of ability and provide developmentally-appropriate learning activities.

"The kindergarten classroom is a place of curiosity, wonder and pure joy! I feel so fortunate to work with our 'kinders' as they discover what learning in school is all about."

– Deb Holland, kindergarten teacher
